I’ve been called a hypocrite a few times. Looking back on it I don’t remember it being a particularly enjoyable moment but I’ve finally figured out the way to respond to it.

My future response is, “Take a look in the mirror buddy, because you’re one too.”

We are all hypocrites. Incapable of putting our mind to a point where we judge no one, we never lie, we never cheat or we never have a thought that slips into our mind without entertaining the thought of what it might be like to…. well, whatever… I don’t know.

We are all born into this. Our God-given desire is to do good, but the human side of us inexplicably refuses to fasten our eyes on what we know is good. It is completely our fault.

I love how a major argument amongst non-believers against the Christian community would be that “they’re all hypocrites”.

Well no shit Sherlock.

We’re all hypocrites, remember?

The only point where hypocrisy is not present is in God’s kingdom. When you reside there will be no judgment, no fear, no anger… only love.

So people, why don’t we extend the blessings of what Heaven will be like here on Earth? Jesus was God’s own son and said, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

If love is the answer then it is the solution to the problems blanketing the Earth right now. No matter how big, no matter how small a problem may be, the love of God can help us realize the hypocrite in all of us.
